Production Operator – Takanini

  • Hands on dynamic role in UHT and Powder Processing Plant

  • Day shift position Monday - Friday 

  • Full time 40 hours, 7.30am - 4pm

Dairy Products NZ Limited is a small dynamic UHT & Dry Powder value added processing facility located in central Takanini. Our focus is on producing Quality Value added products for both the domestic & offshore markets in the Dairy & Non-Dairy Ice Cream and Blended specialty powders market.

About the Role:

We have a Day shift position available for a hands-on Senior Production Operator that offers great work / life balance Monday to Friday.  We are looking for someone who is detail focused, a fast worker and always brings an upbeat can-do attitude to complement our team. We pride ourselves in the quality of our work and ask that you do too.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up of packing line & production rooms including packaging and labelling

  • Breakdown of packing line & production rooms and returning unused stock

  • Packing and handling finished goods

  • Managing cleaning regimes in critical hygiene areas and non-critical hygiene areas

  • Record control documentation aligned with the Quality Manager

  • Working closely with the Production Manager and Warehouse Manager around production schedules and needs

  • General help where required around the plant and equipment

Ideally you will have:

  • Diary experience, understanding of CCP, HACCP and GMP.

  • UHT processing experience preferably, but not necessary.

  • Must be physically fit and able to continuously lift 25kgs.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Chemical handling experience.

  • Current forklift licence.

  • Bag and box filler experience.

 This role would ultimately suit a hard worker with production experience in the Dairy or Food industry, with previous packing line experience. 

This role is solely for a New Zealand Resident or Citizen based in Auckland or someone local with a current and Valid New Zealand Work Visa.
