About the role:

Day to day you will assist with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Purchasing for maintenance needs

  • Managing store stock levels

  • Handling miscellaneous production purchases

  • Supporting with the SAP upgrade process

  • Ordering and issuing staff clothing

  • Receipting parts and materials

  • Updating data in the accrual spreadsheet, ensuring accuracy at all times

  • Building strong relationships with internal and external teams

  • Promoting and upholding Nexans' values in all purchasing processes

This is a 40-hour role working Monday to Friday for a Fixed Term period of approximately 3 months

The ideal Purchasing Officer:

  • Knows their way around SAP

  • Previous purchasing experience is advantageous

  • Tech-savvy

  • A can-do attitude

  • Strong attention to detail is a must

  • Enjoys a varied and busy role

  • Team player

  • Honest, reliable, with excellent communication skills

  • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
