About the role:
We are looking for a driven professional who might have experience in the security market or be a qualified electrician looking for some growth! You will have the ability to provide timely service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Installing, configuring, and programming security systems
Managing installation projects to ensure they meet customer deadlines
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faults
Maintaining and monitoring customer security systems
Documenting all service checks and reporting on any faults
Participating in an on-call roster and responding to callouts in a timely manner
Providing technical support to the sales team
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday.
Our ideal Security Technician:
Electrical or electronic security qualifications, or willingness to work towards one
Qualified electrician with three years of experience (desirable)
Data cabling or IT experience (beneficial but not essential)
Experience installing Access Control Systems and Security Camera Systems
Installation, programming, and servicing experience with electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
Knowledge and experience working with Milestone, Gallagher, Tecom, ICT, and Integriti systems is desirable
Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proven ability to contribute to and work effectively within a diverse team
Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised when required
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
Full, clean NZ driver's licence
Physically fit to carry work equipment around sites
