About the role:

We are looking for a driven professional who might have experience in the security market or be a qualified electrician looking for some growth! You will have the ability to provide timely service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, and programming security systems

  • Managing installation projects to ensure they meet customer deadlines

  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faults

  • Maintaining and monitoring customer security systems

  • Documenting all service checks and reporting on any faults

  • Participating in an on-call roster and responding to callouts in a timely manner

  • Providing technical support to the sales team

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday.

Our ideal Security Technician:

  • Electrical or electronic security qualifications, or willingness to work towards one

  • Qualified electrician with three years of experience (desirable)

  • Data cabling or IT experience (beneficial but not essential)

  • Experience installing Access Control Systems and Security Camera Systems

  • Installation, programming, and servicing experience with electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems

  • Knowledge and experience working with Milestone, Gallagher, Tecom, ICT, and Integriti systems is desirable

  • Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Proven ability to contribute to and work effectively within a diverse team

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised when required

  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative

  • Sound knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations

  • Full, clean NZ driver's licence

  • Physically fit to carry work equipment around sites
