Branch Administrator – Sydenham & Christchurch

We're seeking an experienced Branch Administrator to support our Christchurch branches. This dynamic role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to ensure smooth operations across multiple locations. You'll handle daily administration, financial transactions, customer support, and office coordination, playing a key role in our team. Supporting three branches, with potential for growth, this position requires a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable travelling between locations.

Chesters Plumbing and Bathroom Centre was established in 1973 and remains a privately owned New Zealand company with over 50 years of experience in the market. We have 24 branches nationwide and continue to grow. Our success comes from providing quality plumbing supplies, backed by exceptional service and commitment to our loyal customer base of plumbers, gasfitters, builders, homemakers, and renovators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch records, reports, and documentation to ensure smooth operations

  • Handle correspondence, emails, and communications on behalf of the branch team

  • Assist with financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and banking support

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to our trade customers and visitors

  • Oversee office supplies, facilities management, and branch coordination

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office management role

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • The ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team

  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between branches
